Last week I re-arranged my training schedule & rode with my son and family to SC to watch their son, Lawrence, graduate from National Guard Basic Training at Fort Jackson. If some of you folks have never seen a military graduation, I encourage you to take one in. I was so darned proud I could have "busted my buttons" off. (But I didn't have any.) It was +109 the day of graduation and continuously +99 and up during our entire stay of one week! The humidity was like sitting in a 500 degree oven! There was over 1,000 young men and women in their fulll uniforms out there in that hot sun and not a one of them flinched cuz there was sweat running in their eyes. They had been training the past 9 weeks in the same heat and discomfort but they did it with pride. If Anyone left that stadium not feeling a Ton of pride themselves - then there was something wrong with them. We shared tears greating Lawrence after the past months of training and shed more when we delivered him to the next step in training which is called AIT. It was worth every mile of 3,800 we put on - except I think my backside is flat now!
So til later, I wish everyone Happy Trails. Two new horse's in last night and the training today was awesome! We're back up and running full speed! God Bless! Ardis Beach, Certified Trainer, Rock Solid Arena, LLC
